AI Medical Scribe - doctors focus on listening more to the patient, without having to transcribe a consultation, which is recorded from start to finish
Recently, the company EHR Elation Health released the results of a survey conducted to learn more about how primary care physicians feel about AI scribes. The company interviewed 229 of its clients, all independent primary care physicians. It was found that most of the respondents had not yet tried an AI writing solution, but were cautiously optimistic about the emergence of these tools.
When asked how they expect AI scribes to potentially benefit them in the future, doctors who haven't yet tested the tools said they would like to see time savings, reduced cognitive load, greater job satisfaction, better focus on the patient, and more time for care.
On average, doctors spend nearly two overtime hours a day filling out documentation outside office hours, Tornroth said. Because of this, saving time is a benefit of AI writing tools that is especially of interest to primary care physicians.
“I spoke with early adopters of AI scribe technology in various offices and clinical settings that reported savings of several hours a week. The potential that this technology has to save time and improve the doctor and patient experience, including reducing the time spent documenting business hours for providers, is enormous,” said Tornroth.
Once again, technology is an ally in the optimization of medical care, providing greater quality in the relationship between doctors and patients. This proposal is aligned with the fundamental values that we cultivate at CarenApp, where the commitment to innovation and constant growth reflect our dedication to providing health care experiences that transcend traditional expectations. We believe in a future where the intersection between technological innovation and human empathy redefines standards of medical care. 💻👩 ⚕️🌟
